Art Swaller was a very generous parishioner of St. John's who passed away in August of 2007.  Over the years, Art contributed numerous times to support the parish in times of need.  Whether it was donating funds to make our Rec Center a reality or by matching the profits from our annual picnic, he always found a way to help out the parish in its times of need.

Like many parishioners, Art hoped to see the day when the parish could move from its temporary church building into a permanent place of worship.  In order to help make that a reality, he made a pledge of $500,000 in his trust for the construction of a new St. John's Church.  The only stipulation for that donation is that the Church be built within five years of his death.  As a result, we have until August of 2012 to complete the Church and have our first Mass to qualify for this donation.
