As a result of a lowered anticipated budget for a new Church, parishioner Jim Dawson has been working on some new conceptual drawings of the facility.  These are all still preliminary drawings, nothing has been finalized yet.  Click on the file name for the latest pictures.

July 19th, 2008 - The following conceptual drawings were presented to the Building Committee on July 10th by our architect Lou Chiodini.  A side view rendering, a main floor plan, a lower level floor plan and a site layout are shown.  If you have any comments you would like to share, send me an e mail at stjohnscrip@charter.net and I will pass them along to the Building Committee.  On the last drawing, even though a school and gym are shown, that is not part of our project at this time.  However, the Church and Rectory should be positioned in such a way as to allow for future buildings on the site.

These are still preliminary at this stage and the process to follow is outlined in the following from the bulletin of July 20th, 2008.

  • Develop preliminary drawings from the architect
  • Use those drawings during our capital campaign
  • Starting August 6, Mr. Brian Osboune from the Steier Group will use the old school office to operate out of and start the Capital Campaign (More details to follow concerning this very important step)
  • One more meeting with the architect before the beginning of the capital campaign to finalize the preliminary drawings.
  • We will have an official presentation of the details of the drawings when they are finished but we don't know that date yet.
  • Conduct the Capital Campaign and design a budget for the new Church
  • Designate the budget to the architect and here is where the real work will begin,.
  • Everyone will be able to help design, make suggestions, etc. at this point.
  • Once we know how much money we have, the we can finalize the entire design process.
